File Review
Makes sense of the data in your child’s file, presenting a clear, complete picture of what their academic performance indicates and how to best support them moving forward.
Analyzes student performance over time to determine whether goals are being accomplished effectively.
Assessment Interpretation
Demystifies assessment results, elaborating on the strengths and challenges revealed by your child’s evaluation and determining if additional data is needed.
IEP and/or 504 Plan Development
Reviews and develops appropriately challenging IEP goals in conjunction with student data and develops long-term educational roadmap based on your child’s potential for growth.
Identifies the programs, services, and accommodations your child needs to access the general education curriculum and meet their IEP goals.
IEP Meeting Attendance
Attends all IEP-related meetings from eligibility to annuals and triennials, as well as discipline meetings, including manifestation determination meetings.
Makes sure that parents are treated as members of the IEP team and that their concerns and suggestions are heard and given the consideration that they deserve during IEP meetings.
Collaborates and negotiates with special education faculty and District staff.
Placement Recommendations (Private and non-public)
Observes current placement to get a first-hand look at how your child is thriving in their current placement.
Evaluates alternative placements to determine their appropriateness for meeting your child’s unique needs.
Guide parents considering Independent Schools in finding the right fit for their uniquely individual learner.
